Cold Weather and Sensitive Teeth

With the cold winter months upon us, some have noticed their teeth being sensitive to the cold. While hot and cold sensitivity is common, there are things you can do to help relieve the pain of sensitive teeth. First, don’t brush too hard. Brushing aggressively can wear down the enamel on your teeth, as well as damage and push back your gums, which exposes your root area. You also want to make sure your toothbrush is soft enough. A soft bristled toothbrush will help you in being gentle with brushing, and to your gums.
